Deliveries of the Tata Sierra officially began on January 15, marking the SUV's arrival to customers across the country. With the rollout now underway, and after showcasing its capabilities at the NATRAX test facility, the Sierra has reached Kerala, where Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar became the first recipient of the state's first unit.
A video has surfaced showcasing Kerala Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar taking delivery of the brand-new Tata Sierra from Sree Gokulam Motors, one of the state's leading Tata dealerships. The clip, shared on the dealer's official Instagram handle, captures the minister's arrival at the Gokulam Grand resort in his official Toyota Innova Crysta, accompanied by an escort vehicle. At the venue, the Sierra was kept covered, waiting for its ceremonial unveiling.

The minister was warmly welcomed by Tata officials and the resort's management. He engaged in friendly conversations with company representatives, completed the paperwork, and celebrated the occasion by cutting a cake. The SUV was then unveiled, and Ganesh Kumar drove it out of the pavilion, marking the symbolic handover.
Later in the video, the minister spoke about his purchase experience. He noted that while Sierra deliveries had officially begun nationwide on January 15, Kerala's rollout had not yet started. He thanked Gokulam Motors for acting proactively and ensuring he became the first customer in the state to receive the SUV without delays or confusion.

Earlier in January, a video surfaced online showing KB Ganesh Kumar experiencing his first drive in the newly launched Tata Sierra SUV. Talking about the details, the Tata Sierra gets three engine options: the 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine, an all-new 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion, and a newly developed 1.5-litre NA petrol engine. The 1.5-litre Kryojet turbo diesel engine develops a peak power and torque output of 118 PS at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm (MT) and 280 Nm (AT), respectively. The Sierra's 1.5-litre NA Revotron is available with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. It churns out a peak power and torque output of 106 PS at 6000 rpm and 145 Nm at 2100 rpm.
