2027 Hyundai Creta Interior Spied - Here's What It Reveals

The Hyundai Creta, long established as the brand's most successful model, is preparing for a mid-cycle update that should reach global markets by 2027. The popular mid-size SUV has consistently appealed to a wide range of buyers, and the upcoming refresh looks set to build on that reputation with new features and design tweaks.

Interior spy shots have revealed one of the more intriguing additions: a "zero-gravity" button similar to the one found in the Hyundai Ioniq 5. On that EV, the function reclines the passenger seat and extends an ottoman for added comfort. While the current Creta offers "Boss mode" in its top trims-allowing adjustments to the front passenger seat's recline angle-it does not include an ottoman. Whether Hyundai will bring this extra layer of luxury to the India-spec version remains uncertain.

Though the dashboard remains under wraps, Hyundai's recent launches suggest the refreshed Creta could gain larger infotainment and driver displays, an upgraded ADAS package, improved connected-car features, and higher-quality materials throughout the cabin. Spy images also show new upholstery patterns and redesigned door trims, though notably, the test mule lacked a sunroof.

On the outside, the prototype was heavily camouflaged, but one detail stood out: larger 19-inch alloy wheels with a sharp geometric design. These replace the current 18-inch maximum size and give the SUV a sportier stance. However, questions remain about whether such wheels will be offered in India, given potential compromises in ride comfort. If introduced, they are likely to be reserved for premium trims or N-Line variants.

Mechanically, the next-generation Creta is expected to continue with familiar 1.5-litre petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. A strong hybrid option is anticipated later in its lifecycle, aligning with Hyundai's broader electrification strategy for India.
