Restaurant Owner's Note For The Person Who Was Digging Through Trash Goes Viral

The kindness of absolute strangers.

The owner of a US restaurant responded with a note to a person who had been digging through the trash outside the eatery.

Last week, the restaurant posted the picture on its Facebook page. The note has gone viral since then.

At the time of writing this, the post has been liked by 2,229 people and got more than 600 shares.

"You're a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster," wrote Ashley Jiron in the note, inviting the person in for veggies and a cup of water at no charge, along with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

In an interview to Oklahoma's News Channel 4, the owner said she won't take down the sign until someone comes in and takes up her offer.
