A 32-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Indian-origin Baljit Singh, who was found dead in the basement of a West Midlands house in the UK.
Mr Singh's body was discovered at an address in Beeches Road, Rowley Regis on New Year's Day after he went missing in the run up to Christmas.
50-year-old Singh from Birmingham was missing after leaving his home on December 23 to collect a birthday cake for his son.
A post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of head injuries and a knife wound to the neck.
West Midlands police said Stuart Millership, of no fixed address, was arrested on New Year's eve in Kingswinford, west Midlands and has been charged with the murder.
A 27-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Two other persons arrested on suspicion of car theft - a 28-year-old man and 23-year-old woman from Kingswinford - have been released on police bail pending further inquiries. The accused will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates on Monday.
