Teenager chops off tongue to appease Goddess

A 17-year-old boy chopped off his tongue at Goddess Chawenda Devi temple, 30 kilometers outside Amritsar, to appease the deity. Baljit Singh was rushed to nearby hospital where his tongue was stitched back by a team of doctors. His condition is said to be stable.
