26/11 mastermind ups Kashmir ante

Muzaffarabad, PoK: At a time when India and Pakistan are discussing the schedule and agenda for Foreign Secretary-level talks, which may be held as early as this month, Lashkar-e-Taiba's front organization Jamat-ud-Dawah has renewed its threats on Kashmir

In its first public meeting after months of lying low, the JuD vowed to seize Kashmir by force and threatened "rivers of blood" in India.

In the public meeting, Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed said, "We are not against composite dialogues. I ask Chidambaram to first come to Lahore before going to Islamabad and hold talks with me. I will tell him a solid solution to the problems between India and Pakistan.

"There is only one solution to all the problems -- liberate Kashmir. Otherwise the option of 'jehad' (holy war) is open for us."

The meeting was the first major public event organised by the JuD since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

It was also the first major gathering of radical and militant groups to be held in PoK in several years to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day, which is observed across Pakistan every year on February 5.
