When you think of a Swiss vacation, what's the first thought that comes to your mind: delicious chocolates, sleek watches, or simply the awe-inspiring natural beauty? Of course, Switzerland is famous for all these reasons, but if you are up for a unique experience in this European country, then a Stoosbahn ride must be on your bucket list. Considered the "world's steepest funicular railway", its journey starts from the quaint town of Schwyz and ends in the vehicle-free hamlet of Stoos. Travel vlogger Sam Culley had the opportunity to board this fun ride and documented his adventure on Instagram.

"I am about to go on the steepest funicular in the world," explained Sam Culley in the video before sharing that he would be staying on top of the hill in Stoos for the night. "With a gradient of up to 110 per cent (47 degrees)", the train covers nearly 1740 metres in about four to seven minutes. In its upward ascent, the train crosses two bridges through three tunnels. After purchasing the ticket, the vlogger hops into the spherical cabin, witnessing the picturesque view from the glass windows. Each of these cars is well-adapted to the gradient, so passengers stay upright at all times. After a 10-minute walk through the Stoos village amid misty skies and lush greenery, Sam Culley finally reaches his hotel. He walks past a shop on the way and expresses his desire to go for a hike once the sky clears up.
