Chandigarh, The City Beautiful
Chandigarh, popularly known as “The City Beautiful,” was designed by the renowned Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier in the 1950s. The Union Territory is known for its modern planning, wide roads, tree-lined streets and well-organised neighbourhoods called sectors, each functioning like a small township.
Chandigarh is home to several popular attractions, including Sukhna Lake, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, and the Rock Garden of Chandigarh. The best time to visit these places is between October and March, when the weather is cool and pleasant, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as picnics and rooftop dining.
