Pune International Airport has introduced a free library at its newly opened terminal building. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) launched the facility to offer travellers a more relaxing and meaningful way to pass time while waiting for their flights. Whether dealing with delays or simply arriving early, passengers now have an alternative to screen time-an opportunity to unwind with a book.
Set up in the terminal's waiting area, the cosy corner currently holds over 100 titles, The Hindustan Times reported. Travellers can choose from a wide range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, travel, biographies, and regional literature. The library is open to all passengers with no need for membership or registration. Flyers can simply pick up a book, read, and return it before boarding.

Pune Airport shared a glimpse of the new addition on X (formerly Twitter), describing it as "a cosy library corner where you can Read, Relax, and Return!" In the image, passengers can be seen seated on comfortable couches, engrossed in books of their choice. Regular flyers have welcomed the initiative, calling it a refreshing screen-free option to spend time before take-off.
