Jammu And Kashmir Reopens Popular Tourist Sites This Month - See List Inside

After months of security-related closures following past terror attacks, Jammu and Kashmir has reopened a host of popular tourist destinations, welcoming visitors back to the region's natural and cultural treasures. On September 26, 2025, Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha, announced on X, "After a thorough security review and discussion in today's UHQ Meeting, I've ordered reopening of more tourist spots in Kashmir and Jammu Divisions, which were temporarily closed as precautionary measures." He stated that seven tourist spots in the Kashmir Division and five in the Jammu Division will be reopened from September 29 (Monday). Before this, other spots in the region were reopened on June 17, 2025.
