Last month, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the launch of the Vande Bharat Sleeper service. The Delhi-Patna train service comes at a time when travel demand to Bihar surges during festivals such as Diwali and Chhath Puja. Indian Railways aims to ease congestion and offer a faster, more convenient option for travellers in the region.
There has been no official announcement about the exact schedule and booking dates; advance reservations are expected once the launch is confirmed. For millions travelling between the capital and Bihar during peak seasons, the new service promises to be a game-changer.
