The Vande Bharat Sleeper is currently drawing a lot of attention because its launch marks a significant shift in long-distance train travel in India. For the first time, the Vande Bharat brand (known so far for short, daytime routes) has been extended to overnight journeys with sleeper berths. Its inaugural Howrah-Kamakhya route, coupled with faster travel times, upgraded coaches and a more premium onboard experience, has made it stand out from conventional night trains. For instance, digital creator Kailashi Yash Bajpai (@explorewithkailashi) video about the interiors of a 1AC compartment on the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train has clocked over 20 million views on Instagram and got many people talking. The viral video shows the exact layout of the berths, locking mechanism of the door, retractable window shade, individual air circulation vents, and ample lighting. A unique feature of the compartment's door is also highlighted: its small window near the top is equipped with "Smart Glass." The vlogger shows how just clicking a buttton makes it briefly transparent (so one can look outside) and then opaque again once released (shielding people outside from peeking in). This supports both the privacy and security of passengers.

He shared a glimpse of one compartment where used ice cream cups and spoons were disposed of on the floor. He was angered by the behaviour of other people, especially as he felt it is not complicated to throw away waste where it's supposed to go.
