Taking a flight is certainly one of the most convenient forms of travel. But security checks are the least glamorous part of it - especially the long queues, repeated ID checks, and, of course, the dreaded carry-on baggage screening. Hand baggage screening is nothing short of a mini thriller for almost every passenger. You place your bags and other items inside a tray and push it through the conveyor belt for scanning, pretending to look calm. But inside, you are silently praying that trays do not end up in the dreaded red section.
Even when you are not carrying anything problematic, your heart skips a beat at the sight of the security staff unpacking your bag, only to find something as trivial as a misarranged spoon or a bunch of metal keys. And let us not even get started on the exhausting re-packing once the checking is done. Echoing the same sentiment, a digital creator shared a video on Instagram, calling this hand baggage screening "the scariest 5 seconds of the airport."
The internet found the clip highly relatable and reacted to it instantly:
"You start thinking about all possible illegal stuff in your bag, even if there is nothing," admitted a user.
"Purely relatable, especially BLR airport," agreed another.
"This, and when you have to put everything inside the bag again. Like, I have to hurry up, but then there are people around, new trays are coming in, what if I forget to put my charger?" shared one person.
Someone else pointed out, "The moment they shift the rollers to the other side is too scary."
Sharing their own experience, one user commented, "Seriously. Once my son had placed a pair of scissors for his craft work in his bag, they started questioning me. And this fellow was playing with his toy in some corner."
So far, the video has amassed 2.9 million views.
