With the family of bridegroom-to-be Shoaib Malik now in Hyderabad, there are reports that the Shoaib-Sania nikaah could be solemnised today after 7 pm. (

Only close family members are expected to be present at the nikaah ceremony and the media is likely to be shut out completely. (

The only impediment now is believed to be Shoaib's passport which has not been returned yet by the Hyderabad police, though his first wife Ayesha withdrew her complaint of harassment, cheating and criminal intimidation yesterday. (

The chief Qazi of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Qazi Mohd Najumuddin Hussain, has said that Shaoib needs to be in physical possession of his passport during the nikaah ceremony as he is a non-Indian marrying an Indian.
Police sources say the case is not in the court of a local metropolitan magistrate and they are taking legal advice on how to proceed.
