Manchester City is now completely owned by Sheik Mansour, who bought former owner Thaksin Shinawatra's remaining 10 percent stake.
Thaksin retained some of his shares after selling the club last September.
"The 10 percent of shares, previously owned by Worldwide Investments Limited, has now been transferred to ADUG, the wholly owned company of Sheik Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for an undisclosed sum," City said Wednesday in a statement. "As a result of the transaction, Manchester City Football Club is now 100 per cent owned by His Highness Sheik Mansour."
Thaksin sold most of City for about 200 million pounds (then $370 million) following pressure from Premier League officials after the ousted Thai prime minister fled his homeland where he was due to face corruption charges.
Since taking control of the club last September, Mansour's wealth has transformed expectations at the underachieving club. City spent more than 120 million pounds ($200 million) on new players in the offseason in an effort to break into the Premier League's top four and qualify for the Champions League.
