Tuticorin: First power plant unit shut down for undertaking repair works

Tuticorin: The first unit of the Tuticorin Power Plant was today shut down for taking up repair works, officials said.

They said the boiler of the 210-MW unit got punctured this morning.

Work on plugging the hole would be taken up on a war-footing and the boiler would be repaired today or tomorrow, officials said.
