Arvind Kejriwal Protest LIVE Updates: Delhi Cabinet Meeting To Take Place Today Evening

Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia stage sit-in protest at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijals house.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and three of his cabinet colleagues, including Satyender Jain who in on an indefinte fast, began a sit-in protest at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's house on Monday to push for projects which they said were “stuck”. In a series of tweets today, Mr Kerjiwal confirmed that deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has also joined the protest. On Monday, the chief minister had issued a video message to the people of Delhi saying he and his ministers were on "dharna" so they could get facilities and the government could conduct its work. Today is the third day of the sit-in at the Lieutenant Governor’s house.

As Arvind Kejriwal's face-off with Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal entered Day 3, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia joined cabinet colleague and fellow protester Satyendar Jain in an indefinite fast to ramp up pressure. Tweeting a "Good Morning" to Delhi, the Chief Minister promised that his agitation will continue. After an initial communique on Monday, there has been no response from the office of Anil Baijal, in whose waiting room the sit-down strike by the four ministers has been in progress since Monday evening.

On Monday, Arvind Kejriwal issued a video message to the people of Delhi saying he and his ministers were on "dharna" so they could get facilities and the government could conduct its work. Mr Kejriwal and his ministers had walked into Mr Baijal's house, demanding that he help end the stand-off between Delhi's bureaucrats and the government and give clearance to a scheme for door-to-door delivery of rations for the poor.
