Comedian Vir Das recently fulfilled a wish of one of his fans who said that she is never able to book tickets to his show because they are sold out very quickly. Mr Das met her and shared a picture of himself with her and shared that it took four long months for it to happen but "promises made are promises kept".
Sharing a screenshot on Instagram, Mr Vir Das informed that the elderly woman, Violet D'Souza Monis left a comment on one of his Instagram posts. She said that she applauds the wit and sarcasm of the comedian, however, she has never been able to purchase his show tickets. "I just love your wit and sarcasm. I must say I applaud it. I have never had the opportunity to see you perform, I just somehow never get to your tkts before they are sold out. It fastest finger first and I'm not good at that, being a senior ,I have to admit not very phone smart. I do hope I can get to see your perform before I get too old to travel. Stay blessed," she wrote. This comment caught the eye of the 'Delhi Belly' actor and he asked his teammate to be in touch with her. Mr Das replied, "@violetmonis not to worry ma'am. Whichever city you live in, the next time I'm there, your tickets are on me. I'd be honoured to have you. @akasharma83 pls DM ma'am and be in touch."
The woman thanked him for his kindness. She wrote, "@virdas, Thank you so much. I would love to meet you if possible. I'd be honoured. Your wit brings joy to my world. Stay blessed."
The comedian shared the picture of their meeting on the social media platform and wrote in the caption, "Took 4 months. We finally met! Promises made I'll see you at the next one ma'am. You were so kind to me, the things you said, you made my year. Thank you."
Since being shared, his post has amassed over 53,000 likes.
Replying to the post Ms D'Souza said, "The Man who rules the Stage. Today I had the privilege as a guest of Mr VirDas to attend his show on his MINDFOOL tour of India .I came away with several emotions and thoughts that would not do justice to the Man . His unassuming aura hides a brilliant mind . With his humour and witty sarcasm he vocalises issues which we safely brush away not wanting to be involved less we get flack for it . It was in a very very long time I could really experience that full belly laugh which kept me going right through the show . You are the stuff legends are made of Mr VirDas and I wish you every success in you many many tours around the world."
