Mumbai:
The decomposed body of a three-year-old girl, missing for the last eleven days, was on Sunday found in a gutter in suburban Vakola, police said.
The girl has been identified as Anjali Gupta and her body was taken to a nearby civic-run hospital for post mortem, police said.
The residents of New Shastri Chawl noticed foul smell from a gutter behind a public toilet and when they opened the gutter, the body was found.
The locals immediately informed the police.
On January 19, the girl's father, Vineet Gupta, had lodged a complaint after his daughter went missing,
police said.
Apparently, the girl fell into the gutter while playing and drowned, police said adding that further probe was on.
