Mumbai:
Flynn Remedios, manager-cum-PRO of Kannada movie actor and model Ritu Sachdeva, was arrested from Juhu on Friday. She had filed a complaint against him at the Versova police station on November 12, alleging that he molested and duped her after promising to get her on reality TV show Bigg Boss as a participant.
"Remedios was remanded in police custody till Wednesday. He went missing after the case was filed against him. But we managed to hunt him down and arrested him," said senior inspector Suresh Nalavade of the Versova police station.
Another police officer said: "The victim told the police in her statement that Remedios promised to get her on Bigg Boss. She had paid him lakhs as assignment fees. He had also demanded physical favours from her. She also claimed that the accused told her he had several contacts in the film industry and would get her on Bigg Boss."
She alleged further that Remedios recently took Rs 50,000 from her, saying that his mother was unwell. However, he never returned the money. When Sachdeva demanded her money back, he gave her a cheque which bounced.
Sachdeva said, "He was my manager-cum-public relations officer. But he lied to me and duped me. He had reportedly cheated several others in the film industry in a similar fashion."
She added that one of her friends spoke to Remedios' parents in court. They claimed that he did not give money to them either.
