Yellow Is Still The Colour Of The Season - Kareena Kapoor And Sakshi Dhoni Know This

Every season comes with a reigning colour. With every passing season, we see new trends emerge and new fashion benchmarks set, but what remains consistent is the part that colour plays in all of this trend setting. There's always one colour that you see occupying a large amount of space on the clothing shelves of high-fashion stores. And invariably, that's the colour you end up wearing and even associating with anything 'fashion' for that season. But there seems to be one colour that has been ruling the charts for more than one season now, and it's the colour yellow. The emergence of yellow as a colour that was slowly pushing other colours out to take the spot for 'colour of the season' was first spotted in back in the winter. Yes, all the way back then. Since then, yellow seems to have ruled Spring, Summer and now Monsoon. And it's all thanks to some of fashion's most well known patrons. Seems like thanks to the colour yellow, there's now such a thing as 'colour of the year'.

Kareena Kapoor always seems to be occupying a top spot in the high fashion brigade. Unsurprisingly, Kareena was seen looking resplendent in a yellow outfit by Tome NYC for a promotional event in New Delhi, yesterday. Can anyone really contest the power of yellow after seeing this?

Also spotted in the colour yellow was none other than Sakshi Dhoni, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's wife. Sakshi may have come into the limelight after she married Dhoni in 2010, but the 29 year old has always had a keen eye for fashion. Sakshi shared a picture of herself wearing a yellow saree for a friend's wedding.

If you're talking about fashion and not naming famous model Gigi Hadid, you're probably doing something wrong. Gigi is known to be one of the most fashionable women in the world - and even she seems to concur that yellow is the colour to be wearing. Gigi was spotted in New York yesterday wearing a yellow crop top with exaggerated puff sleeves. She paired her top with a pair of blue jeans. She also carried a yellow bag and wore a pair of yellow strappy stilettos to complete her look.

Earlier this month, Sara Ali Khan was spotted wearing a yellow crop top from designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's label Khosla Jani. Sara's top was not so different from the one Gigi was spotted wearing last night. Well, if the young fashionista is wearing it, there's got to be some truth to this yellow theory.
