"We Are Absolutely Clones," Rakul Preet Singh About Husband Jackky Bhagnani And What She Would Raid From His Closet In An Exclusive Interview

The fashion bar was raised up by many notches when Rakul Preet Singh turned showstopper for Ritika Mirchandani at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week. Bringing her A-game, Rakul looked like an epitome of beauty in a monochrome set. The shimmery number boasted eye-catching cut-out patterns. The two-piece set featured a butterfly-style strappy blouse with a plunging V-neckline. The white embroidered blouse highlighted black outlines. She teamed it with a high waist gleaming skirt with a thigh-high slit. The body-fitted number, with keyhole cut-outs, flew down to form a flowy hem with an elegant trail. The walk was extra special, as the actress returned to the ramp after her wedding and indeed, she made an ultimate style impact. In a conversation with NDTV, Rakul shared details about her outfit. Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani Are “Clones”

Talking about how she and her husband Jackky Bhagnani are like "clones." Rakul Preet Singh said, “We are absolutely clones. We are 90 per cent similar besides 10 per cent, where I am a sticker for time and his time was all over the place and it has gotten better now. We're similar people from likes, dislikes, holiday destinations, and the food we like. From how we're obsessed with working out. We want to work out on a holiday also. It's really crazy.” The star also spoke about how not much has changed after marriage and that she only reacts differently to being called 'Mrs.' 

Dressing Differently After Marriage

When asked if anyone has ever suggested or put pressure on her to do so, the actress replied with an emphatic "no" stating that neither Jackky's nor her family have ever had any conversations like that since both she and Jackky got back to work straight after the returned to Mumbai from their Goa wedding. Rakul Preet Singh had a lot to say about how Indian society puts the onus on women to dress a certain way after marriage but not so much men; "Will you ask a guy to dress a certain way after marriage?"

Rakul Preet Singh was quick to claim that her look at the Lakme Fashion Week would make a remarkable style for any cocktail party. The actress said, “I think this is such a beautiful outfit that you know you can wear it to a cocktail party also. And then you can even wear it to something that's Indians in celebratory mode with, giving maybe like a dupatta with it. So it's got a twist of both. It can be won anyway.”

Rakul Cannot Leave Home Without These Beauty essentials

When asked about her three beauty essentials that she can't leave home without, Rakul Preet Singh's response was oh-so relatable. The actress replied, “A sunscreen, lip balm, and a third one is not that important. Maybe a nice moisturiser.”

The Star Prefers Bright Colours On Holi

Describing her favourite outfit choice for the festival of colour, Holi, Rakul Preet Singh mentioned, “For Holi, generally people like whites but I prefer something with shorts and a colourful T-shirt.”

"I Don't Understand Bell Bottoms"

When asked about an outrageous trend that she has followed and pulled, off she was quick to admit while she wouldn't call them outrageous, she has never understood bell bottoms. She has worn them, pulled them off, but never understood them.
