'Was Upset': Uorfi Javed On Career Struggles After Rejections From Bigg Boss And Khatron Ke Khiladi

Uorfi Javed took to Instagram and shared a video in which she spoke in detail about the low phase in her career. She revealed that she had been offered Lock Upp but could not join the show because she was already signed to another project and there was a clash of one shooting day. However, the shoot for the other project was later delayed. She also revealed that she had approached the makers of Bigg Boss but was ultimately rejected.

Uorfi captioned the post, "Talking about my failures of the past year!! Thoda slow chal raha hai maamla. Isiliye I was really upset for a few months" (Things have been moving a little slowly, which is why I was really upset for a few months).

In the video, Uorfi said, "Yaar, jab bhi main Instagram kholti hoon na, koi na koi gaadi khareed raha hota hai, kuch achieve kar raha hota hai. Sab bade successful hain. But today, I'm going to talk about my failures pichle ek saal ke." (Whenever I open Instagram, someone is buying a car or achieving something. Everyone seems very successful. But today, I'm going to talk about my failures from the past year.)

She added, "To mera jo Season 2 aane wala tha Follow Kar Lo Yaar ka, ek mahine pehle cancel kar diya Prime ne. Phir main Netflix ka ek show kar rahi thi, humne ek episode shoot bhi kar liya tha, aur Netflix ne bola bada hi ghatya hai show, cancel kar diya ek episode shoot karne ke baad." (The second season of Follow Kar Lo Yaar was cancelled by Prime a month before it was supposed to begin. Then I was working on a Netflix show, and we had even shot one episode, but Netflix said the show was very poor and cancelled it after that one episode had been filmed.)

"Phir maine na uske liye bola Khatron Ke Khiladi ke liye ki chalo Khatron Ke Khiladi kar leti hoon, unhone bhi mujhe reject kar diya. And then jahan main brand deals karti thi, like paanch-chhe mahine mein, suddenly ab main teen-chaar mahine mein do hi kar rahi hoon, usse zyada mujhe mil hi nahi rahi hain." (After that, I thought I'd do Khatron Ke Khiladi, but they rejected me as well. Earlier, I used to do several brand deals every five to six months, but now I'm only doing two in three to four months. I'm simply not getting more offers than that.)

Further speaking about Lock Upp, she said, "Aur haan, Playground mein bhi mujhe replace kar diya is saal, last year main mentor thi. Aur phir mujhe Lock Upp ka offer aaya, to maine socha kar lete hain. Lekin phir na ek show se meri ek din ki date clash ho rahi thi, to doosre show walon ne karne nahi diya kyunki woh pehle sign kiya tha. Phir jab Lock Upp shuru ho gaya, tab mujhe doosre show wale bolte hain ki, 'Arey humara shoot to aage chala gaya hai.' And I'm like, what the f*!"** (And yes, I was replaced on Playground this year, even though I was a mentor last year. Then I received an offer for Lock Upp and thought I would do it. However, one shooting day clashed with another show I had already signed, so the producers would not let me take up Lock Upp. Then, after Lock Upp had already started, the other show's team told me that their shoot had been postponed. And I'm like, what the f**!*)

"Ye sab kuch ho gaya, maine kaha koi nahi, ho jaane do, main na Bigg Boss hi kar leti hoon. Kyunki mujhe ek reality show karna tha, matlab woh to rakha hi hua hai. So when I approached Bigg Boss people, humari meeting-weeting hui, and then they just rejected me. Matlab I got rejected from Bigg Boss! I genuinely think that this year has been a year of rejection for me," she concluded. (After all of this happened, I thought never mind, I'll do Bigg Boss instead because I really wanted to do a reality show. We had meetings and discussions with the Bigg Boss team, but they rejected me. I got rejected by Bigg Boss! I genuinely think this year has been a year of rejection for me.)
