
Building temples named after your favourite actors is not the latest trend in the South. We have seen people do that in the past. So who is the latest celebrity deity making the rounds? After the popular South Indian actress Nayanthara, famous in the Tamil film industry, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is the second actress getting a temple named after her. On the occasion of Samantha's birthday on 28th April 2023, a fan from Andhra Pradesh will be naming a temple after her. The pictures of the idol have gone viral over the internet based on one of her many Instagram posts.

As per a few reports, a fan named Tenali Sandeep from Andhra Pradesh is building a temple for the Telugu actress in the Bapatla district of the state. The fan made the idol himself as a gift to the actress for her birthday. The sculpture of the idol in yellow showcases the face of the actress smiling with strands of hair parted at one side. We wonder if it looks like Samantha's image from Shaankuntalam!

The fan hasn't met the actress but admires her work not just on screen but also her philanthropic work with her charity - Pratyusha Foundation. The actress was seen in the movie Shaankuntalam recently and will soon appear in Citadel's India episode with Varun Dhawan.
