Neha Sharma On Her Favourite Fashion Movies And Staying Authentic Through Her Personal Style

There's really no one like Neha Sharma, especially when it comes to her personal style. A scroll through her Instagram profile will confirm that. From risque lace bralettes to shimmering lehengas, there isn't a single niche she sticks to and we're glad because she wears all the diverse fashion she slips into so very fabulously. So it was only natural for a fashion force like Neha Sharma to associate with Blender's Pride Fashion Nights and their initiative to focus the spotlight on budding members of the Indian fashion industry. NDTV Swirlster spoke to Neha Sharma about her favourite fashion movies, her philosophy when dressing up and much more.

Dayle Pereira Alemao: What is the best piece of fashion advice that you've received and from whom was it?

Neha Sharma: This is something you learn in the very beginning - "Whatever you wear has to be comfortable. You shouldn't be lost in it. The outfit you are wearing shouldn't wear you, you should wear the outfit."

Dayle Pereira Alemao: Tell us more about your association with Blender's Pride

Neha Sharma: It's been wonderful! It has been an honour and pleasure to walk the runway. I love the fact that Blender's Pride wants to support new talent and give them a platform.

Dayle Pereira Alemao: Which is the most fashionable movie that you remember?

Neha Sharma: It's a bit overrated but I can always remember Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind; not for the fashion but for the weird haircuts.

Dayle Pereira Alemao: What are your thoughts on local talent being brought to the forefront with Blender's Pride Fashion Nights?

Neha Sharma: It's amazing. We're in Nagpur and the models are from here; so are the musicians and the designer too. The amazing local talent probably wouldn't have had a platform if it wasn't for Blender's Pride so I think it's great what they are doing.

Dayle Pereira Alemao: How important is it for you to be authentic with your style?

Neha Sharma: It's very important! Or else, you lose the uniqueness that you have and you will look like every other person. That's why it's important to stay true to yourself and do the things which are 'you'.
