Met Gala 2018: Behold The Glory Of Deepika Padukone

By the time many of you woke up this morning, the Met Gala 2018 had already begun. And you might be keen on knowing more about it, or maybe you aren't, but we are pretty sure that either way you are as excited to see what our home girls Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra wore on the red carpet. Well, guess what? It is about 5 AM and Deepika's stylist Shaleena Nathani has revealed what the style goddess is wearing, in all her glory. And it sure doesn't disappoint.

For a gala themed "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination", the colour looks beautifully sinful, the colour of the devil some would say. Only it isn't. Lo and behold, Deepika Padukone in her cardinal red Prabal Gurung atelier gown.

As teased by the designer on his Instagram account a day back, the gown Deepika is donning is a hand draped silk gazar creation. It is the right amount of oomph, and the correct amount of classy. What completes the look to perfection are the bold red lips, and the minimal accessories - pearl and diamond Tasaki earrings and a matching statement ring. The hair is, yet again, plastered and parted. Thankfully the pony didn't make a repeat appearance. Oh well!

But hey, let's be honest here - the look is heavenly indeed and this lady in red is sure to have eyes fixed on her. Needless to say, this is a far cry from what Deepika wore at the Met Gala last time. And we are just thanking all the heavenly bodies for that.

The Met Gala has seen some really interesting and creative looks this time, what with the theme and all. And even though Deepika played it safe, she has played it well.
