Come summer and a style trend that instantly takes over is floral prints. It's everywhere - from breezy dresses, structured tops and trousers to summer sarees, salwar suits and even lehengas. So much so that you may just about start feeling that you are done with floral prints, when suddenly you spot another stylish design and you get right back to it. There's no denying the fact that floral prints are ruling this summer too and with Bollywood celebrities showing as much love for it, we can't help but drool over it.
Fashionista Sonam Kapoor has been making trendy style statements this season in her own unconventional way while also getting back to classics from time to time. Floral prints are of course a part of her summer wardrobe too and she's been giving it a chic spin that we absolutely love. She was recently spotted wearing a pretty white floral dress by Erdem during one of the promotional activities for her upcoming film Veere di Wedding.
Keeping with classic style, the fit and flare midi-dress had floral prints in purple and green hues with black ribbons on the sleeves and a black belt to add in some contrast. Sonam teamed it with a pair of black stilettos from Manolo Blahnik and understated jewellery - a pair of studs, couple of rings and a bracelet. Letting her hair loose, she wore dark lips (this season's hottest lipstick trend) to accentuate her look.
In Cannes too, Sonam showed us her fondness for the floral trend when she wore a gorgeous dress by Delpozo. The lime green maxi-dress had intricate floral patterns all over in bright red, while the sheer detail at the sleeves gave it a flirty edge.
Earlier this month, we saw Sonam work the floral trend looking chic as ever in an outfit designed by DVF. The matching tunic and trousers had heavy floral prints in bright yellow and black. The volume sleeves added to the drama while a high waisted black belt gave it a sleek finish. The statement earrings worked wonders to notch up her complete look.
Feeling the love for floral prints? It's time to usher in stylish designs to your summer wardrobe and up your floral game.
