Already, the Cannes Film Festival has brought plenty of beauty to the red carpet. One of those responsible is the stunning Sara Ali Khan. Attending her premier edition of the event, Sara has already captured the hearts and minds of almost everybody with her contemporary Indian looks on the red carpet. But there was one more aspect that stood out to us. For her second look at Cannes 2023, Sara opted for Abu Jani - Sandeep Khosla once again; this time in a modern saree that draped from reverse. Juxtaposing the silhouette was makeup with a vintage feel. Sara's makeup look included winged eyeliner with a firm flick at the end. It came with contoured cheeks, highlighted skin and nude lips. Her hair was pinned in a bouffant hairstyle with loose strands in the front. Undoubtedly, she looked stunning. But take another look at her closely and do tell; do you think she resembles her grandmother Sharmila Tagore so very much in the photos?

Sharmila, a yesteryear Bollywood star from the 60s and 70s, was often seen sporting makeup looks that were on trend in the decades. She particularly seemed to prefer sleekly winged eyeliner and strong brows, just like her granddaughter Sara did in her looks from Cannes. Sharmila's photos from her days of yore also include updo hairstyles like the bouffant and beehive. The resemblance between grandmother and granddaughter isn't just clear; it's gorgeous.
