These face masks will take on any skin troubles this season

Monsoons can be incredibly cosy but your beauty routine may not necessarily feel that way. The muggy, moisture-laden climate can make skin oily, dull and clogged. Luckily, you don't always need an extra product to fix that. All you need to do is step into the kitchen. Try making these 3 face masks right away to fix those wretched monsoon skin worries.

1. For Grimy Skin

Finding a layer of residue on your face and pores that feel clogged with debris? Try out this face mask. In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of ground almonds, 1 tablespoon of oatmeal and 3 tablespoons of cold milk. Apply to the face and neck and leave to dry for 30 minutes. When washing off with warm water, massage the mixture in circular motions over the face. The exfoliants in the scrub will remove grime and dirt gently.

2. For Oily Skin

To keep oily skin at bay during the rains, this recipe will help. Mix 2 tablespoons of Fuller's Earth (or multani mitti) with 2 tablespoons of cold green tea and 1 - 2 drops of tea tree oil. Combine and apply over the skin. Allow it to dry for 45 minutes and wash off with warm water and a cleanser. These ingredients are well-known to control sebum production and absorb excess oil.

3. For Dull Skin

Don't let lackluster skin get you down during the monsoon. A simple face pack can be whipped up to give it a natural glow. Make it by combining 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder with a teaspoon of honey and 3 tablespoons of coconut milk. Mix thoroughly and apply to the skin. Let it sit for an hour, then wash off with warm water. These powerful ingredients will encourage your skin to brighten up well.
