The month-long RRB group C exam, for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician recruitment, will conclude today. The exam was supposed to end on August 31, however the national transporter decided to extend the schedule considering the plight of flood affected candidates of Kerala, majorly. This is the first stage CBT and hereafter candidates should prepare for the second stage test. However candidates who have registered for the ALP shall have to appear for computer based aptitude test, only after they qualify the second stage CBT.
For the second stage CBT, the number of candidates to be shortlisted will be 15 times the updated vacancies for that RRB. Candidates will be intimated about their candidature for the exam through messages to their registered email address and phone number.
RRB ALP, Technician exam was also extended for those candidates whose exams were cancelled on August 9. It was observed that many candidates, who are eligible for CEN 01/ 2018, have not been scheduled for the exam.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class categories will get a refund of the exam fees, if they have appeared for the first stage CBT. The exam fee of Rs. 250 will be refunded to the candidates through online payment mode. Candidates who have paid Rs. 500 shall be refunded Rs. 400, if they appear for the exam. The decision came in February immediately after there was a huge uproar on the 'four times' hike in RRB exam fees.
