Uttarakhand rains: Helpline numbers to reach for assistance

New Delhi: More than 50,000 people remain stranded across Uttarakhand, even as rescue efforts are in full swing across the state.

More than 550 people have died in the state and the toll is expected rise further. The state government has set up several relief camps to provide food, water, and other aid to the locals and tourists.

The Indian Army has deployed soldiers to assist in rescue operations. Food packets are being air-dropped to several locations and choppers are assisting in rescue efforts.
