Sensex Today, Nifty, Share Price Highlights: On the last trading day of this financial year 2025-26, the Indian equity benchmarks ended in deep red. At the close, the Sensex was down 1,635 points while the Nifty was down 488. Sector-wise, the Nifty Bank and the Nifty PSU Bank were the biggest draggers. Rupee also fell to an all-time low.
Gold and silver futures were trading 2. per cent and 1.32 per cent down, respectively. International benchmark Brent crude futures rose as much as 3.66 per cent to an intra-day high of $116.70 per barrel, nearing a fresh 52-week high. Earlier on Friday, Nifty settled at 22,819.60, falling by 486.85 points or 2.09 per cent while the BSE Sensex closed at 73,583.22, declining 1,690.23 points or 2.25 per cent.
