- The Union Law Minister has said the government would take a fresh look at the legal aspects of the case and ask the CBI to revisit it
- The Union Home ministry has stripped Rathore of the Police Medal that was given to him in 1985
- The Union Home Ministry has also slashed his pension amount and may soon withdraw it entirely
- Three fresh FIRs have been filed against Rathore - for torturing Ruchika's brother Ashu, getting Ruchika's inquest report fudged and abetting Ruchika's suicide
- The Haryana government has asked the CBI to take over the investigations into the three fresh cases
- And now a Chandigarh Administration inquiry report has indicted Ruchika's school for expelling her
