Prime Minister Narendra Modi Recalls Lord Mahavir's Message of Peace

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today recalled the message of peace and welfare of Lord Mahavir on Mahavir Jayanti.

He tweeted,

On Mahavir Jayanti I bow to the venerable Lord Mahavir, who showed the path of peace & welfare for entire humanity.

His tweet also carried  a picture of Lord Mahavir sitting in 'samadhi'.

Lord Mahavir was the 24th and the last Tirthankara of the Jain religion.
