President Pranab Mukherjee to arrive in West Bengal on Sunday on 3-day visit
Kolkata: President Pranab Mukherjee will arrive in Kolkata on May 5 on a three-day visit to the state to attend a number of programmes, including the Valedictory Function of the Sesquicentennial Celebration of Calcutta High Court.

Arriving at the N S C Bose International Airport on May 5 at 12 noon in an IAF Special Flight from Delhi, President Mukherjee will go to Jadavpur University via RCTC Helipad to release 'Bichitra' (Tagore Online Variorum).

In the evening, the President will attend the dinner party hosted by the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court Arun Kumar Mishra at a city hotel before returning to Raj Bhavan, where he will spend the night.

On May 6, the President will address the Bengal Summit organised by the media group Ananda Bazar Patrika.

Later, he will leave for Midnapore by helicopter to attend the 175th anniversary of the Midnapore Collegiate School.

On his return from Midnapore the same day, the President will grace the presentation of a book of Bengali short stories by late Dr Debranjan Mukhopadhyay at Raj Bhavan in the evening.

President Mukherjee would leave for Delhi the next day after staying overnight at Raj Bhavan.
