Police to question Prof Sabharwal's son

Police to question Prof Sabharwal's son
New Delhi:

Himanshu Sabharwal, son of slain Professor H S Sabharwal, will be questioned by the police. Himanshu's aide Parminder was found murdered in the Delhi University campus on Friday.

Apparently, Himanshu, Parminder and two more volunteers were pasting posters in the campus for a candlelight vigil for Professor Sabharwal.

Professor Sabharwal was killed in Ujjain's Madhav college in 2007, and last week, all the six accused in the attack were let off by a Nagpur court.

Initially, Himanshu had accused the ABVP, the student wing of BJP, for the attack. But the police are investigating all angles, including personal enmity, and are questioning Himanshu in this regard.

"It is a very early stage of investigation but we are exploring all the angles and all the possibilities," said Paramjeet Huda, DCP North, Delhi Police.

"Parvinder never had any enemy had it been ABVP workers, they would have attacked Himanshu not my brother," said Kailash, Parvinder's brother.
