A day after more than a 100 passengers were killed when 13 coaches of Mumbai-bound Gyaneshwari Express derailed in West Bengal's West Midnapore district, the Railways has decided not to run trains in Jharkhand during the night for the next four days. Trains that ply through the Maoist belt in West Bengal at night have also been rescheduled.

Top railway officials met Jharkhand DGP and other top police officers in Ranchi today to discuss the Naxal threat to trains from Naxals. As a precautionary measure, they decided to stop the night trains through Naxal-hit areas for a limited period.

The decision not to run trains between 10 pm and 5 am could be extended for a couple of days.

Five trains which were running along the same route as the accident spot will now leave in the morning.

The trains that have been rescheduled on the line where the attack took place are:
•    2130 Azad hind Express
•    2906 Porbandar Express
•    2810 Howrah Mumbai
•    2152 Samarsata Express
•    2834 Ahmedabad Express
