Jyoti Basu's condition marginally better
Kolkata: The latest medical bulletin on veteran Communist leader Jyoti Basu's health said that he was marginally better, but still critical. Doctors attending on him have said that his blood pressure was being maintained with drugs and urine output has picked up.

The morning bulletin had said that his health has worsened. It also said that his organs may have been affected. The 95-year-old leader was kept under full ventilation as a precautionary measure on Saturday night.

Bandopadhyay, who is on the medical board treating the leader at the AMRI hospital in Kolkata, told reporters that Basu was fed through riles tube last night.

The veteran leader was admitted to the AMRI Hospital in Kolkata with pneumonia on January 1.
