J&K: Six cops injured in militant attack
Srinagar: At least six policemen were injured today when militants triggered an improvised explosive device(IED) near a police station in Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

Militants fired a rifle grenade at around 9.05 am today, which landed and exploded in the police station, the officials said.

As the policemen came out, the militants triggered an IED planted on a scooter parked near the police station. Six policemen were injured in the IED explosion, the officials said, adding that the condition of four of them is stated to be critical.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched search operations but no arrests have been made so far, the officials said.
