In a scathing attack on the Modi government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today accused the Centre for trying to malign AAP by disrupting operations in various departments in the capital. Speaking during the emergency session of the Delhi Assembly, Mr Kejriwal said that the Lieutenant Governor was "dancing to the tunes" of the Centre.
Here are the highlights of the speech:- BJP wants to appoint such governors who make chief ministers of Opposition parties miserable.
- LG is dancing to the Centre's tunes. The day he does something against the Centre, he will be removed in 24 hours.
- The Centre wants to appoint people in key positions in water, transportation and other departments to disrupt operations and make the AAP government look bad.
- Before the AAP government was formed, transfer postings was a multi-crore industry.
Since Mr Sisodia has taken over, we have shut down that transfer posting and all the corrupt officials rushed to the Home Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office. - I have met the Lt. Governor many times. He has never asked me about the electricity or water situation... everyone is interested in transfer posting.
- We had made promises to the people and they have expectations from us, not the Lt. Governor. The Centre is out to destroy and malign AAP.
