How to reduce swelling due to a fracture femur?

Question

I broke my right femur above the knee joint and underwent an operation last year. I am doing physiotherapy but the swelling hasn't subsided till now. What medicine should I take for this?

For swelling raise leg by keeping a pillow. Do this intermittently. Sometimes swelling takes a long time to go away. Exercises will also make it less.
