Police release sketch of the man who allegedly raped five-year-old in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: The Gurgaon Police, investigating the brutal rape of a five-year-old-girl, have released the sketch of a person. They have also announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for any information on the alleged rapist.

"We are conducting search in various locations. There is only one person involved in this," said Alok Mittal, Police Commissioner, Gurgaon.

According to the police, the girl was raped and then abandoned near a metro station in Gurgaon on Saturday. The minor has suffered severe internal injuries and is being treated at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital.

According to the police, the girl was allegedly lured away by the accused who offered to give her food during a langar (community lunch) near the Bristol Hotel in Gurgaon. He later raped her.

The minor's 12-year-old cousin, who was accompanying her, has said the accused was in his 40s.

The girl reportedly went missing at 12.30 pm on Saturday. She was found in unconscious state near a metro pillar at 2 pm.

"My daughter was found near the Sikandarpur metro station. She was unconscious. She had blood and mud all over her. She was in a terrible state," said the minor's father.
