Why Ishita Dutta's Firangi Co-Star Kapil Sharma Skipped Her Wedding

New Delhi: Actors Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth had a low key wedding at Mumbai's ISKCON Temple on Tuesday. The wedding had a hand-picked guest list also comprising actors Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Bobby Deol and Sohail Khan. But comedian Kapil Sharma, who will soon share screen space with Ishita in their upcoming film Firangi, was not present at the close-knit shaadi. Of this, Kapil Sharma told Pinkvilla: "I got to know about their wedding plan just a few days back and I was supposed to attend it but due to work commitments I couldn't. They kept their wedding a very private affair with just close friends and family attending it. However, my best wishes are with them. I even called Ishita to congratulate her on this."

Kapil didn't join the festivities but he congratulated the couple. "Both Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth make for a beautiful couple. I wish them all the very best in their new life," Kapil Sharma told Pinkvilla.

Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth met on the sets of their TV show Baazigar and fell in love. The couple shared the news on social media and posted beautiful pictures from the wedding.

In Firangi, which releases this Friday, Ishita plays a village girl named Sargi. The movie is set in Punjab and the story revolves around an Indian villager who goes through trouble while serving the British government.

Earlier of Kapil Sharma, Ishita told news agency IANS: "I used to love watching Kapil's television show The Kapil Sharma Show. We all know that Kapil is a very happy person and is always good with his one-liners, is never tired of making people laugh. He is exactly that even off camera."

Ishita started her career in Bollywood with 2015's film Drishyam, co-starring Ajay Devgn.
