The wait is over. The makers of the series Made in Heaven announced the release date of its much-awaited second season. Created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, Made in Heaven is regarded as one of the most popular shows on the streaming giant Amazon Prime. It's an anthology series headlined by Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala. Sharing a new poster of the season, Zoya Akhtar wrote, "Mark your calendars for the grandest wedding season.#MadeInHeavenOnPrime S2, Aug 10!" Mona Singh, who is a part of the second season, dropped heart emojis on it. Take a look at the post here:

Arjun Mathur aka Karan shared an emotional post. Arjun Mathur became hugely popular with this show. He wrote, "Honestly, There were a few options for witty captions to go with this post. But I think I'll lead with -A humble apology on behalf of every natural and unnatural force that contributed towards this delay, and sincere and immense gratitude for your untiring patience. We've worked hard and (very) long to bring you a season that hopefully matches your sky-high expectations from us, and is deserving of all your love. It's twice as heavy on the drama, the scale, the cast, the grandeur and everything else you might want from it. And I bring you 'Karan', again.. straight from my heart. Sobhita Dhulipala also announced the date with a post on her Instagram. Her caption read, "it official, finally! Team Made In Heaven is ready to enter the shaadi business again." Take a look at the post here:
Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur attended a press conference in Mumbai today. Both of them were dressed in their traditional best. Sobhita looked pretty in a pastel-coloured saree while Arjun was dressed in an asymmetrical kurta. They greeted the photographers as well as danced at the event to create the shaadi ambience.

Zoya Akhtar and her other collaborators of the show announced on July 6 that the new season would be launched soon. The first season released in 2019. She wrote in the caption, "The weddings, the drama & the chaos are about to get 2X grander." Take a look at Zoya's post here:
However, for the last couple of days, Zoya had actively been sharing old clips from the season one of the show to keep the viewers engaged. A large section of the Internet at times expressed their displeasure on Zoya's comment thread for the delay. "Date? Date? You're just playing with all of us now," commented a user. Another one added, "Girl, give us a date." Inputs from another user, "Tareekh pe tareekh, tareekh pe tareekh ( date after date)."
Made in Heaven is an anthology series that deals with Indian marriages of couples coming from various class, caste, social and economic backgrounds. The protagonists of the show are Tara Khanna (played by Sobhita) and Karan Mehra (played by Arjun). In Indian context, marriage is no less than a business and these two characters traverse the grey areas of shaadi business during the course of the show while their personal lives are laden with regrets, secrets and dichotomies.
