Mumbai: Actor Varun Dhawan has dismissed reports of not working with director Rohit Shetty as their last film Dilwale failed to garner desired response.

Dilwale, which released in December last year, reunited Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol after 2010's My Name is Khan.

"It is not true. I enjoyed working with Rohit. He is one of my favourite directors. I loved him as a director and I still love him. I think he is working on his next," said Varun when he was asked about not working with Rohit again.

Varun has reportedly rejected Rohit's offer to work with him on the remake of Ram Lakhan.

Meanwhile, Varun will be seen next in Dishoom, which is being directed by his brother Rohit Dhawan. The film also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.

"I got injured while shooting for Dishoom. I was working with John Abraham on this film and it was a great experience as he is a proper action hero. He helped me a lot. There are some daredevil stunts in the film," added Varun.

Varun is also excited about Kapoor And Sons. (Also Read: Fawad Khan Reveals What Was Alia Like on the Sets of Kapoor And Sons)

"I liked the trailer and since it's a Karan Johar film, I am sure it will be good. I am looking forward to it. I wish all the best to the team," he said.

Karan had launched Varun in 2012 with Student of the Year. Karan had said that he will make a sequel to the film soon.

"I have heard about it. I am doing something else with Dharma Productions. I hope Karan will launch new faces," added Varun.
