Salman Khan, who is taking his role as mentor to newbies Suraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty very seriously, has also sung the title track
Main Hoon Hero Tera for the film that marks the debut of the younger actors - Nikhil Advani's
Hero.
The teaser of the song has set social media abuzz.
The 24-second long video was published on the Facebook page of the movie late on August 5 and features snippets of the 49-year-old actor singing 'The Love Song Of This Year', the full version of which is expected to release on August 7.
Salman also tweeted a link to the teaser.
This is not Salman's first tryst with playback singing. Last year, he sang
Hangover for
Kick which also starred Jacqueline Fernandez. He has also sung for his older movies
Hello Brother and
Wanted.
Hero, which is a remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 film, features Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj and Suneil Shetty's daughter Athiya in the lead roles. Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia and Suraj's father will also be seen in the movie. (Also Read:
