Sidharth Malhotra: Girls Never 'Offered' to Tie Me Rakhi

New Delhi: Fresh from the success of Brothers, actor Sidharth Malhotra said that he takes it as a compliment that not even a single woman has offered to tie him rakhi.

Raksha Bandhan, the Hindu festival observed to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters is on August 29 this year and Sidharth, won't be busy getting his wrist filled with colourful sacred strings.

When asked about any fond memory of the festival, Sidharth, who has an older brother, told IANS: "In school, no girl offered to tie me a rakhi. So, it was a compliment. In my family also, we don't follow that. Instead we observe Tika, a Punjabi festival which involves a sister applying tika on the forehead." On the professional front, the 30-year-old actor is busy shooting for Kapoor and Sons which will also star Alia Bhatt and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in key roles.
