On Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 35th birthday, the team of her upcoming movie Shaakuntalam has shared a surreal photo of the actress. The film has been produced by Dil Raju and sharing a new poster of Samantha, the makers of the film wrote, "Shakuntala" from #Shaakuntalam our @Samanthaprabhu2 a very Happy Birthday". In the poster, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is dressed in a white saree and looks gorgeous. The mythological drama is inspired by the popular play Shakuntala, which has been written by Kalidasa. Shaakuntalam will have Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of the Puru Dynasty. Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha is making her acting debut with the film. Aditi Balan and Mohan Babu play pivotal roles in the Shaakuntalam.

The shooting of Shaakuntalam was completed in August and Samantha Ruth Prabhu had shared a photo from the wrap party. Sharing the photo, she had written, "And it's a wrap on Shaakuntalam!! This film will stay with me for the rest of my life. As a little girl I believed in fairy tales .. not much has changed. I still do .... and @gunasekhar1 sir my fairy godfather making my dream a reality. When he narrated this film to me I was immediately transported to a most beautiful world .. the world of Shaakuntalam.. a world like no other. But I was nervous and scared. Was it possible for us to create such beauty on celluloid.?? Today as I say my goodbyes, I have such an immense feeling of love and gratitude, to this absolutely incredible human @gunasekhar1 sir, for he has created a world that has exceeded all my expectations. The inner child in me is dancing with joy. Thank you, sir, and thank you to the best team ever. I feel like the most special girl in the world today."
