- The got engaged on Thursday at a simple ceremony in Ahmedabad in the presence of Payal's parents. Sangram's parents were conspicuous by their absence.
- "The sagaai (engagement) was a simple ceremony. Sangram is a simple man with high moral values," said Payal.
- She credits Sangram, who featured in reality show Bigg Boss - Saath 7, for bringing stability into her life. "Ever since I met Sangram I am at peace with myself. I am glad I have found a partner who is a man of his word. He is humble, mature and a terrific human being," said the actress who was part of Bigg Boss season two. She was also seen in films like Corporate and 36 China Town.
- The two will get married this winter. "The shaadi (marriage) will hopefully happen in November or December 2014. Sangram is the man for me. Of that I am sure," she added.
- What about the two being such different human beings? Would they be able to have a successful marriage?
- "I guess god has his own plans for all of us. And I trust His decision. He always does what's best for me," said Payal.
