Actress Parineeti Chopra will reportedly star opposite Akshay Kumar in Anurag Singh's next venture which will be based on Battle of Saragarhi. A source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror that the 28-year-old actress has 'really liked the script' and she will be seen playing a 'strong character' in the upcoming film. "Parineeti plays a strong character and has really liked the script. The makers have started prep. Huge sets of the Saragarhi and Gulistan forts, as well as a village, will be erected in Wai, a town in Satara district," Mumbai Mirror quoted the source as saying. The film, which is being produced by Karan Johar and superstar Salman Khan, is expected to go on the floors in January.

An official confirmation from Parineeti Chopra is still awaited.
In March, there were reports that stated Diljit Dosanjh would also be a part of the film but the actor refuted the reports, calling them 'wrong.'
"Those are wrong reports. I am not doing anything in it. It's a big film and a big subject. I am not in the film but there is excitement for Anurag. He is an amazing person and I am very happy for him," Diljit told news agency PTI.
Salman Khan, Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar had delighted everyone by sharing the news of their collaboration in January.
Akshay Kumar last featured in super hit film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, co-starring Bhumi Pednekar. His forthcoming projects include - Gold, Padman and 2.0 with superstar Rajinikanth.
Parineeti Chopra is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Golmaal Again. She will soon begin filming Vipul Shah's Namaste Canada with Arjun Kapoor.
